Who am I?

I bought this painting of a girl in the Portobello Road market. Who is she? What is her name? Bring her to life, and if you recognize her please email me!

Update on our events. 3 places for the Get into Print Workshop on 22nd March. 9 places on our next series of writing workshops beginning 9th March 2017. Booking on our website.

Events and updates

If you subscribe on this site (on the side bar) you receive a weekly writing prompt and first notification of any new events we post on this site. But you don’t get updates. If you want to know how many places are left on our workshops and courses  contact us and we will put you on our email list. Usually, we send out mails each month. Our workshops sometimes sell out very quickly, so if you’re interesting in joining us, we recommend you sign up. All our  current Autumn events are sold out, but we’ll be posting more news soon.

If you’re already a subscriber, let us know if the visual prompts are stimulating new writing. We’d love to hear about the stories you create and any other feedback. For further writing tips buy Alex’s book of 63 tips  and for writing advice check out Jude’s blog.

What’s behind the door?

keyhole This week’s prompt by Jude.

What’s behind the door? It hasn’t been opened for a while. There’s  a cobweb in the keyhole, the screws are rusty.  Who opens it? Answer the questions and solve the mystery in a short piece of no more than 500 words.

And if you want to unlock more ideas to give  your writing a boost, come to our two hour workshop at Hall and Woodhouse cafe on 14th June.  We have the key. Booking on this website. Four places left.
