Calling all Writers – A challenge.

To celebrate the launch of Margaret Attwoods The Testament on Monday 9th September 21.30 in Waterstones Bath – Submit a piece no longer than 1000 words to read out at Waterstones. Ten will be chosen. Themes are dystopia, feminism or the legacy of the Handmaid’s Tale. Email to submit by 3rd September events@waterstones.com

The focus is on getting you writing and keeping you writing with prompts for creative writing exercises, but also on writing challenges such as dialogue, flash fiction, dealing with your inner critic, etc. Beginners and experienced writers welcome.

Guest authors are Mary Griese, Andrea Harwood, Jude Higgins and Rachel Ward (but not necessarily in that order!)

Thursdays 10.30-12.30pm November 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th £74 for the four sessions (no refunds but you are welcome to send a friend in your place)

Whether you are writing short stories, a novel, a memoir or simply enjoy writing, these workshops aim to inspire and motivate. Beginners and experienced writers welcome. Come and meet other writers – we look forward to meeting you.

Alex and guest authors will lead the two-hour workshops which will focus on getting you writing and keeping you writing. These workshops are suitable for anyone planning or writing a novel, short stories or a memoir. Plenty of hands-on writing exercises to fire the imagination, motivate you and expand your word power as well as tips and information. Guest authors will bring their particular expertise to the sessions. So, if you enjoy meeting other writers, love writing and are free on Thursday mornings, please book.  Beginners and experienced writers welcome.
