Whether you are writing short stories, a novel, a memoir or simply enjoy writing, these workshops aim to inspire and motivate. Beginners and experienced writers welcome. Come and meet other writers – we look forward to meeting you.
Sometimes we need a challenge to get writing – Here is mine.
For the next seven days, come up with one idea a day for a short story or a novel.
Are you sitting comfortably? Find a notebook and pen. Put on some music, close your eyes and let an idea drift into your mind. Sit there until an idea comes, it doesn’t have to be brilliant, any idea will do. Write a sentence describing it and then put your notebook away.
At the end of the week choose one of the sentences and give it a title. Focus on it and write a first short story draft or a rough synopsis for a novel. Keep the other ideas for another day.

The emphasis will be on discussion and exercises so please bring a pen and paper.
